First Halloween

We had Madison's first Halloween also combined with a Lutherfest at Ascension. Dad, of course, was busy involved with drama and bells for the Lutherfest, so Mom and Madison came a little later. So obviously orange was a big color, especially when the little girl is a pumpkin. Her knit hat came from an architect in Chris' office.

CAL Trip Labor Day Weekend - Stasia & Todd's Wedding

Well we made out first out of state trip with Madison to visit San Diego for the wedding of Samantha's cousin Stasia. The drive in the car was fine and she did great even over the pass into San Diego County. It was a full weekend that we enjoyed with family in California. Madison had her first trip to the beach and the Pacific Ocean. So here are some pictures from that weekend.

Almost 2 Months Old

The little girl continues to grow. We are really starting to see her change from a newborn to a baby. With Samantha still staying at home, she sends me afternoon updates to get me through the work day. Here are some of the photos she has sent along. ENjoy your Maddie fix.

Madison Adelaide Baptism

Madison was Baptized on August 17th at Ascension Lutherean Church in Tucson, AZ. Lots of family and friends were in attendance. Thanks to everyone who took the time to come out and see this wonderful time in bringing a new child into the Kingdom of God. Nate and Frances Mueller stood up as Madison's God-parents. Madison wore a baptismal dress that was Chris' Grandfather's and had been used by four generations now.

Tennessee Grandparents Visit

Grandma and Pinky drove out from Tennessee to see the new granddaughter. While here, we put Pinky to work and let Grandma hold the baby. Both grandparents loved being here to see the little girl. They enjoyed seeing Chris, Sam and Samson as well.

Parents - Can't Forget Them

OK, so I've been really carried away with everyone's pics with Madison and totally forgot about Samantha and I. Not that we haven't been with Maddie constantly, but haven't taken many photos with the two of us. So here is one from the hospital. I'll get more of these, just like I keep promising on all my posts. By the way this is day six, tomorrow we hit the big 1 week.

More family Pics

I know I promised family pics with Maddie, but we had a network issue and had to stop early. So here are some more pics with Pops(Dave) and the promised pics of Uncle Will and Uncle Stephan. Sorry for the delay, but I will keep this coming as quickly as I can.

Family Photos at Hospital

Well I promised more photos; so here they are. These are some of the photos from Saturday at the hospital. It was great to have all of the family and the future godparents come visit us at the hospital. So of course Yaya(Pam) and Jer-bear(Jerry) made a great visit. This is the first Grandchild for both of them so they were both very excited. Uncle Will and Stephan were super excited to see their new niece. Stephan was a little intimidated to hold such a small baby, but he warmed up quickly and just loves holding her. Both uncles are great and Yaya can't get enough of her Granddaughter.

Nursery Project

Work on the nursery has gone well with two shades of light brown. We chose to use "cream" colors to accommodate a boy or girl not knowing our babies sex. We decided on a two layer color scheme on three of four walls and then a set of stripes on the forth wall. The stripes are about 20" wide each and allow us to put up photos or small shelves in each strip. I painted the whole wall the lighter of the two colors and then taped off the stripes of the darker color. We also chose a border to go at chair rail height to separate the two colors. Here are some photos of the work in progress.
